Half more way to go and I will get the chance to hold my baby in my arms. Time really flies, and as of today, I am already 20 weeks and 2 days pregnant, another 20 more weeks to go. I can feel that the baby is growing rapidly. Just a week ago, my tummy is not as obvious as today. And I can feel baby moves already but I have to lie down only will be able to feel more of the movements. It feels like bubbles popping inside my tummy
Hubby can even feel it when he touches my tummy.
Baby, you can do it! You have achieved a lot so far, and you are half way there to come out and meet us. Gambate!

We are still not sure. From the scan, OB said he couldn’t see anything sticking out in between baby’s legs, but he also didn’t want to confirm that it’s a girl. Because there is also a possibility that this can turn out to be a boy. For me and hubby, it really doesn’t matter, boy or girl also good as long as healthy. But we do hope to be able to confirm the gender before we go shopping for baby’s stuffs so that we can buy the correct things, or else we’ll just buy the neutral colour ones, hehe. Oh baby, don’t keep the suspense too long ok?

I have not been writing for a few weeks, feels lazy to write actually, hehe. I still sleep very early, at about 9.30pm every night. Mostly after work and dinner, reached home, directly lied down on the bed, then took my bath and watched an hour of TV, then sleep. That has become my routine during working days. During weekends, I might go shopping, but most of the time also sleep at home
So basically, it’s hard for me to find time to write, coz sleeping is the priority

I am in my 2nd trimester and a lot of sicknesses and discomfort have subsided. I do have a little nausea and sometimes will still feel like throwing up. I’m not sure when this feeling will really be gone soon. I am still easily tired and sleep early every night. I think it’s good that my body is telling me to rest a lot during this pregnancy.
Many parents told me to wait until after 4 months, and then I will feel normal again. My tummy is getting bigger little by little everyday, but it is still not very obvious yet. Some friends had even started to ask questions already, some didn’t even notice yet.

My baby makes my day today. This morning, we went for my checkup, and I didn’t expect to see so many actions through the scanning. Baby was waving at us, showing thumb’s up, jumping and dancing. It would be great if we could capture it into a video, it’s so fun to watch the baby. We saw baby’s tiny little fingers and toes, the image was kind of blur or else we could have counted the fingers and toes
We were able to see baby’s ribs and back bones too, and the tiny heart is still working hard in there. Another thing we found out is baby has high nose. OB said the major organs should have formed already and developing. Baby is really active, and I wonder what it’s like to feel the movement. Sometimes I can feel a little pain at certain spots, comes and goes away quickly, not sure whether that’s the baby kick.
And here’s a glimpse of my baby at this point, cak!

It’s really heartwarming when hearing hubby mention that he wants to play a vital role during my pregnancy by involving in activities such as cook healthy food for me, help out more with house chores and make soya bean milk for me to drink everyday. He talked about this already even before I got pregnant, he will say “One day when you are pregnant, I will do (this and that)”. I am almost 4 months pregnant now, I’m not taking his words seriously but it’s fun to go through the checklist and see what he had achieved so far, hehe

Plan so early eh? I was shocked also when my mom told me that we can book a confinement lady already when I was only 6 weeks pregnant. She said the good ones must book earlier. Anyway, mom has someone in her mind that she claimed is very good and experience confinement lady. Unfortunately, she was already booked by another woman who will give birth at almost the same time as me. Then, I guess I have to look for another confinement lady, but I’ll leave the task to my mom since she knows better. We had heard stories where some confinement ladies are really not so good, they might not take care of baby very well, or they might not cook that well. Some even refuse to clean up the dishes after cooking. Besides, hiring a confinement lady is not cheap. I really hope I can get a good one.

I wish I could but I can’t. For the past few weeks, whenever I walked into a shopping mall or hypermarket, within 10 minutes of walk, I already started to feel sick and wanted to go home immediately. In my mind, I have a lot of things to buy e.g. new clothes, new shoes, all these I would need at least an hour to shop, but I can’t do that lately.

Last Sunday, I wasn’t feeling very well and had to go to sleep earlier. At midnight, I woke up to go to the toilet (as usual). Well, hubby was still watching TV in the living room. When he heard me coming out from the bedroom, he shouted “Dear, I cut my toe! Come!” I had to go to the toilet first so I ignored him. When coming out from the toilet, I heard him calling again “I cut my toe, I cut my toe! Mmmm!” I was already feeling blurry and sleepy, but I still went and take a look at his toe. It was just a small cut with a little bit of blood only, and then I asked “What happened to your toe?” Then he did his sad face and just laid on the sofa pointing his toe at me. I said “OK, I’ll go find the plaster for you, you clean the cut, and put on the plaster, it will be OK”. I brought the plaster to him, and then I went back to sleep. This guy just needed attention like a baby, I hope he won’t fight with his baby next time for attention.
